Introduction :

My name is Lola Robson and I am a student at Hills Road Sixth Form College and this is my coursework for my A Level Media Studies.

My main objective is to construct an audio-visual sequence from a tv show, and to create associated print materials to promote the show. My audio visual has to be 2mins-3mins long, and my print material has to be 3pages long and consisting of a front page and double page spread. During the process of creating my media texts I must outline my aims and intentions for my work and undertake research and planning during my production process. I have different requirements I must reach in order to produce my work, and all my content must be my own, (apart from logos or barcodes).

My audio visual and print material must be for a factional or fictional tv show, and must be either for ITV or Channel 5. In order to gain some understanding of my task, and to begin research I have looked at the most common shows on Channel5 and ITV. This will allow me to create the target audience for each of these channels, and finally develop my own target audience for my show.

By using warm, yellow tones in the image I was able to create convergence between my front cover, double page spread, and the title shown in the documentary. Using the rule of three, I ensured the individual was placed in the centre of the shot, and took up the majority of the image; to convey a high status and significance of a celebrity appeal to the magazine. In terms of proxemics, I placed the individual in the centre of the shot; to engage the audience, and to allow me to place my text on either side. I also left room on the top of the shot, to allow me to use a large, and bold title to create clarity and an appeal for my audie...
